New Ride for Students

Students will be riding in new buses this fall as the school purchased four new International school buses for the 2014 - 2015 school year. The new buses were purchased using funds the school receives from the Statewide Penny Sales Tax and each had a purchase price of a little over $78,000. Funds that schools receive from the Statewide Penny Sales Tax have a very limited use, two of which include the purchase of transportation vehicles and the maintenance or construction of buildings and grounds.

The four new buses will be used on routes as well as for activities with the exact routes being determined by the schools Transportation Director Charlie Brittain. Each bus is also equipped with an interior camera system to help track and hopefully curtail student behavior issues on the bus. Along with the purchase of the four new buses the District traded-in buses #3, #7, #9 & #11 to keep the bus fleet at its present count of ten.
