TENNIS COURT PROJECT UNDERWAY

Pro Track & Tennis out of Bennington, NE is in the process of repairing the tennis courts at the school this summer.  Work started last Saturday and will take anywhere from seven to ten days depending upon the weather.

Workers have started cleaning out and filling the cracks in the courts, the first step in the Armor Crack Repair System.

They have also started grinding down the high spots in the courts and removing the asphalt from the areas of the court where water tended to pool.  The hope is to get the courts to drain better so that they dry faster and damage to the surface is minimized.

Once all repairs are made an acrylic material will be used to prime, level and create a uniform surface to apply the color coating too.  The courts will then be repainted using the current blue on green color scheme and the lines will be repainted.

As part of the tennis court repair project the Audubon Tennis Association was able to secure a grant for $1,400 to have additional lines added to the courts showing the  court dimensions  for players who are under 10 years old.  This will be a benefit for the summer Community Rec. program that offers lessons to area youth.
